Bendigo Thunder Announce Bryan Coghlan as General Manager
It has been an eventful year for the Thunder both on and off the field. There are currently a lot of developments in the area of women’s football with the launch of the AFL Women’s league in 2017 and the national draft later this month. The current committee are aware of the growth and demand for our club, it’s players and women’s football in Bendigo and as such we believe that to facilitate this there is a need to restructure the club’s operations.
Therefore, we have created a new position of General Manager of the Bendigo Thunder. This role will be highly involved and include everything from sponsor sourcing and relationship management, marketing / promotional activities and brand development, liaising with various club stakeholders including the coaching staff, players and team manager and providing support to the committee on various activities as the committee see fit. This position will be separate to the committee so as to free up the time of the various volunteer committee members to allow them to focus on general oversight and management of the club. The General Manager will be the face of and point of contact for the club.
Whilst we are still in the process of outlining the details of this new role the current committee are eager for the new General Manager to begin the role as soon as possible to help launch the club into season 2017.
We are very pleased and excited to announce that Bryan Coghlan has accepted the role of General Manager of the Bendigo Thunder and stepped aside as President to focus solely on this role. Bryan has already shown his capabilities in all areas of management at the club. His marketing and promotional background are exceptional and his rapport with the players, committee and club volunteers is incredibly strong. We can think of no one better to take on this role and the committee are looking forward to continuing to work with Bryan to build this club into the future.
Bendigo Thunder are proud to support our partners.
Training is held every Monday and Wednesday at Dower Park, Kangaroo Flat from 6-7:30pm. Bring along your footy boots and a water bottle. Any questions/apologies please contact Emma Grant (Captain) 0430 999 149
