Bendigo Thunder Announce New Coach and President

Bendigo Thunder last night announced the appointment of two key positions of leadership within the club that have been left vacant for the past 4 weeks.

Last year's Assistant Coach, Cherie O'Neill has taken the reins as Senior Coach with Steve Beavis stepping in as Assistant Coach. A past player with the Thunder Cherie O'Neill has been involved with the club since it's inception and has a love for the club and the girls that play footy for the Thunder. Steve became involved with the club last year when his two daughters joined the club as players. Steve brings years of football knowledge and experience to compliment Cherie's desire to learn and develop the team as well as herself.

Club member and long time supporter of women's sport, Bryan Coghlan, has stepped up to take on the role of President of the Thunder. Bryan brings lots of experience with his previous appointment as President of the Spring Gully Cricket Club.

It's a big step forward for the Thunder on and off the field as the team continues its impressive start to the season with 4 wins from 4 games.
